Any agent that reduces or opposes the formation or growth of a cancer [ORWJr], also called a neoplasm, which is a new growth of tissue characterized by progressive, uncontrolled proliferation of cells. The neoplasm may be localized or invasive, benign or malignant [Mosby2009]
